Skin, Fur, Colours
Skin is leather like and extremely smooth to the touch, however, unlike their cousins, the Kni'Rahj, a Vehn's skin is less thick and easier to cut through. It can be easily compared to a human's skin, but much smoother.
Vehn's are known to grow fur on various parts of their bodies, but not always: some are completely bald. Those Vehn's who have fur can grow it on the chest, in a mohawk-like or mane fashion, on their tail and even on their elbows and legs. Rarely they can be comp

Colour wise, remember that white and black bases are less common than coloured ones, but you can still make them.
Light or dark bases are also good: just don't pick a very saturated colour for the base, and you're cool.
Marking wise the most common are stripes, spots, leopard spots and freckles. Solid are more rare. Pixels and circuits are impossible. Gradients can happen.
Accents are underbelly, glove / socket, scarf and mask markings!
